Bonfire Night

Well today has been a cold wet day with endless drizzle. I am looking out of the window here & I can see fireworks illuminating the foggy night air. It's Bonfire night or for those who care to give it's proper title Guy Fawkes night. Named after the infamous conspirator that tried to blow up the Palace Of Westminster, the home of our parliament.

A brief trip to the shop assailed my nose with the smell of smoke & fireworks, but that's how it should be, I like this time of year. I don't like the cold weather but never mind. I don't have much to say today, unusually & I'm just keeping warm inside watching a Johnny Depp film, The Ninth Gate. I like Johnny Depp, this film is a bit mainstream but a good yarn non the less.

I'll have more to say tomorrow but that's about it for now.....

Good evening Charlie!
FYI-never got an email..and my yahoo server has been acting strange. Day before yesterday, I had no emails at all! Next day, 17 were waiting for me..from the day before. So, if you have sent it to me...it might be doing that again as today I've received nada ALL DAY!
Anyway..nice fireworks pic. I enjoy those..not the noise...I have a wonderfully intact startle reflex.
Johnny Depp, hmmmm? Guy looks better than me and we were born the same year..geesh!
